Ovidove preobrazbe
Ovid’s Metamorphoses is a Latin poem in fifteen books, in which ancient myths unfold in a stream of transformations: people become stars, trees, birds, stones, rivers, and signs. For Waltey, its importance lies in bringing myth closer to the fairy tale as a living narrative, rather than a list of names.

We have removed the scholarly apparatus from the full Latin text and divided it into 104 reading episodes. These are not Ovid’s chapters: the episode boundaries and titles are Waltey’s editorial choices. The Slovenian texts are adaptations for reading, made directly from the Latin source.
