Waltey

Prevod

A lion and a bear came upon a fawn together and fought over it. They mauled each other so fiercely that, dizzy from the long struggle, they lay exhausted on the ground. A fox passing nearby saw them lying there, with the fawn between them. She darted between the two, snatched up the fawn, and ran off. They watched her go, but could not get up. “Wretched creatures that we are!” they said. “All our toil was for the fox.” The fable shows that some reap the rewards of others’ labors.
