Sima Yi, Grand Tutor of Wei, subdued Gongsun Yuan and had both Yuan and his son beheaded. A child was suddenly found steamed to death in a steaming vessel. In the northern market of Xiangping, a mass of flesh appeared, several feet in both length and girth. It had a head, eyes, a mouth, and a snout, but no hands or feet, yet it moved and swayed. A diviner said, “It has a shape, but is not fully formed; it has a body, but no voice. This state shall perish.”
