Prevod

A wolf followed a flock of sheep without harming them. At first the shepherd guarded against him as an enemy and watched him fearfully. But as the wolf kept following without making the slightest attempt to snatch a sheep, the shepherd came to think of him as a guardian rather than a threat. So when some business required him to go into town, he left the sheep in the wolf’s care and went away. The wolf, seeing his opportunity, killed most of them. When the shepherd returned and saw his flock destroyed, he said, “I have only got what I deserved. Why did I trust a wolf with my sheep?” So too, those who entrust their valuables to the greedy and grasping are deservedly robbed of them.
