Prevod

A sow and a dog were quarreling. The sow swore by Aphrodite that she would rip the dog apart with her tusks unless she stopped. The dog replied that this very oath showed her lack of sense, since Aphrodite hated pigs so much that she would not allow anyone who had eaten pork to enter her temple. The sow answered, “But she does that not out of hatred, but out of concern for me, so that no one will sacrifice me.” In the same way, clever orators often turn the reproaches of their enemies into praise.
