Prevod

The mice and the weasels were at war. After suffering one defeat after another, the mice gathered together and decided that their troubles were due to a lack of leadership. So they chose some of their number and elected them generals. Wishing to stand out from the rest, these generals made themselves horns and fastened them to their heads. When battle was joined, the mice were all put to flight. The others slipped easily into their holes, but the generals, unable to get inside because of their horns, were caught and devoured.

Thus vanity brings misfortune upon many [through their love of pleasure].
