Prevod
During the Qin dynasty, a city was built within Wuzhou Pass as a defense against the Hu. Time and again, as its walls neared completion, they collapsed. A horse galloped about, circling back and forth. The local elders marveled at this, and so the walls were built along the course of its hoofprints. This time, they did not collapse. The city was therefore named Mayi. The old city’s remains now lie in Shuozhou.
