At the end of the Han dynasty, when the Guanzhong region was in turmoil, someone broke open the tomb of a palace woman from the Former Han and found her still alive. Once brought out, she recovered and was as she had been before. Empress Guo of Wei grew fond of her and took her into the palace, keeping her constantly at her side. When asked about life in the Han palace, she recounted everything clearly and in proper order. When Empress Guo died, the woman wept with such overwhelming grief that she too died.
