Prevod

The beaver is a four-footed animal that lives mostly in lakes, and its private parts are said to be useful in medicine. When it is hunted by men and is about to be caught, it knows what they are after, so it bites off its own private parts and throws them to its pursuers, thus saving its life.

The fable shows that wise people likewise think nothing of their wealth when their own safety is at stake.
