Prevod
A walnut tree standing beside a road bore abundant fruit. But passersby battered its branches with stones and sticks to get the nuts. The tree cried out pitifully, “Wretched creature that I am! Those whom I delight with my fruit repay me with such cruel thanks.”
The fable rebukes the ungrateful and wicked who repay good with evil.
