Prevod
A man who had traveled abroad returned to his own country and boasted of the many great feats he had performed in various lands. In particular, he claimed that on Rhodes he had made a leap such as no other man of his day could match. He also said that those who had been there could bear witness to it. One of his listeners spoke up: “My good fellow, if that is true, you have no need of witnesses. Here is Rhodes; now let us see your leap.” The fable shows that, unless proof of a deed is readily at hand, all talk is pointless.
