Prevod
A woman who had recently buried her husband went to his tomb every day to mourn. A man ploughing not far from the tomb took a fancy to her, and, leaving his oxen, went over to the grave himself, sat down, and joined in her lamentations. When she asked why he too was grieving so bitterly, he said, “I too have buried a beautiful wife, and weeping eases my sorrow.” “It does just the same for me,” she replied. “Then, since we have suffered the same misfortune,” he said, “why should we not be together? I will love you as I loved her, and you in turn can love me as you loved your husband.” This persuaded the woman, and they lay together. Meanwhile, a thief came, untied the oxen, and drove them away. When the man returned and found his oxen gone, he began beating his breast and wailing loudly. The woman came over too, and, finding him lamenting, said, “Are you weeping again?” “Now,” he replied, “I am weeping in earnest.”
