Prevod

A man who had been bitten by a dog went about looking for someone to heal him. Someone met him and, learning what he was seeking, said, “My good man, if you want to recover, take a piece of bread, wipe the blood from your wound with it, and give it to the dog that bit you to eat.” The man laughed and replied, “But if I do that, I shall have to be bitten by every dog in the city.” The fable shows that wicked people, too, are encouraged to do further harm when kindness is shown to them.
