In the seventh year of Yuankang, a thunderbolt shattered the Gaomei stone south of the city. Gaomei was the shrine where members of the imperial household prayed for sons. Empress Jia, consumed by jealousy, was plotting to kill Huai and Min. This was therefore an omen that Heaven, angered by Empress Jia, would soon bring about her execution.
