Prevod
A crow, envious of a raven because people took omens from it and looked to it to foretell the future, and held it in esteem for this, wished to win the same honors. So, seeing some travelers passing by, she flew to a tree, perched there, and cawed loudly. The travelers turned at the sound in alarm, but one of them spoke up: “Come, friends, let us go on. It is only a crow, and its cry carries no omen.” So too, people who vie with their betters not only fail to equal them but also make themselves a laughingstock.
