Waltey

Prevod

A bone once became lodged in a wolf’s throat. He promised a crane a reward if she would put her head into his mouth and pull the bone out of his throat. She removed it and asked for her reward. The wolf laughed, bared his teeth, and said, “Let this alone be reward enough for you: you have drawn your head out of a wolf’s mouth and from between his teeth safe and unharmed.” The fable concerns deceitful people who, once rescued from danger, repay their benefactors merely by doing them no harm.
