A blind man was in the habit of identifying any animal placed in his hands by feeling it. One day, when a wolf cub was handed to him, he felt it over and, uncertain, said, “I do not know whether it is the offspring of a wolf, a fox, or some other such creature. But this much I know for certain: this animal is not fit to be allowed among a flock of sheep.”
So the nature of the wicked is often plain even from their outward appearance.
