Prevod

A miser sold all his possessions and bought a lump of gold, which he buried outside the city wall. He kept going back to the spot to inspect it. One of the men working nearby noticed his visits and guessed the truth; so, when the miser had gone away, he stole the gold. When the miser returned and found the spot empty, he wept and tore his hair. Someone who saw him in such distress and learned the reason said to him, “Do not grieve. Take a stone, put it in the same place, and imagine that the gold is lying there. After all, even when it was there, you never used it.” The fable shows that possession is worthless unless it is put to use.
