Ptičja žena
A man from Xinyu County in Yuzhang saw six or seven women in a field, all wearing feathered robes, and did not realize they were birds. He crept over on his belly, took a feathered robe that one of the women had removed, and hid it. Then he approached the birds. Each flew away, save one, who alone was unable to leave. The man took her as his wife, and she bore him three daughters. Later, their mother had the girls ask their father where the robe was hidden. Learning that it lay beneath a pile of rice, she retrieved it, put it on, and flew away. Afterward, she returned to fetch her three daughters, and they too were able to fly away.
