Preroška pesem o dveh cesarjih
In the last years of Emperor Ling’s reign, a rhyme circulated in the capital: “A marquis who is no marquis, a king who is no king. A thousand chariots and ten thousand horsemen ascend Mount Beimang.” In time, Marquis Shi ascended the imperial throne, while the future Emperor Xian had yet to receive a title. They were seized by the palace eunuch Duan Gui and his companions, and all the high ministers and court officials followed in their wake. Only after reaching the riverbank were they able to return.
