Prevod
Once, some donkeys, weary of their endless burden-bearing and toil, sent envoys to Zeus to ask for relief from their labors. Wishing to show them that this was impossible, he said they would be freed from their hardships when they made a river with their urine. Taking him at his word, from that day to this, whenever they see another donkey’s urine, they stand beside it and add their own.
The fable shows that there is no remedy for the fate allotted to each of us.
