Prevod

A man placed a wooden idol on a donkey and led it along. Many of those they met bowed down in worship. Puffed up with pride, the donkey imagined that the country folk were bowing to him, and began to caper about, nearly throwing the god to the ground. But his master struck him with a stick and said, “You are a donkey carrying a god, not an equal of the gods.”

The fable rebukes brutish men who grow vain over honors that belong to others.
