Prevod

A bat, a bramble, and a seabird formed a partnership and decided to make their living as merchants. The bat borrowed some money and put it into the common fund; the bramble brought a cargo of clothing, and the seabird, the third partner, brought copper. Then they set sail. But a violent storm arose and capsized their ship. They lost everything, though they themselves managed to reach land safely. Ever since, the seabird has kept watch along the shore, hoping the sea might wash up its copper. The bat, afraid of its creditors, stays out of sight by day and comes out to feed at night. And the bramble catches at the clothes of passersby, searching for its own and hoping to recognize them.

The fable shows that we keep returning to the things we have set our hearts on.
