Prevod
Xu Tai of Jiaxing lost both his parents in childhood. His uncle Kui raised him, cherishing him even more than his own children. When Kui fell ill, Tai tended him with the utmost devotion. During the third watch one night, Tai dreamed that two men arrived by boat, carrying a chest, and came to the head of his bed. Opening the chest, they took out a register and showed it to him, saying, “Your uncle is due to die.” In his dream, Tai at once bowed his head to the ground and pleaded with them. After a long while, the two men asked, “Is there anyone in your county with the same name?” Tai thought of someone and told them, “There is a Zhang Kui, but his surname is not Xu.” The men replied, “We can make him serve, though it is a stretch. In consideration of your devotion to your uncle, we shall spare his life for your sake.” With that, they vanished. When Tai awoke, his uncle’s illness had taken a turn for the better.
