Prevod
In summer, an ant went about the field gathering wheat and barley, storing up food for the winter. A beetle saw him and marveled at his industry, since he was toiling at the very season when all the other creatures were taking their ease, free from labor. The ant said nothing at the time. Later, however, when winter came and the rain washed away the dung, the beetle came to him starving and begged for a share of his food. The ant said to him, “Why, beetle, if you had worked back then, when I was toiling and you were mocking me, you would not be begging for food now.” So it is with those who fail to provide for the future in times of plenty: when their fortunes change, they suffer the greatest hardships.
