Prevod

A boy tending sheep pretended to see a wolf coming to attack them and called out to the farmers, “Help! Come here! A wolf is coming!” The farmers came running, only to find that he was not telling the truth. He did this many times, and each time they found he was lying. Later, when a wolf really did approach and the boy cried, “Come quickly! A wolf!” no one believed him enough to run to his aid. With nothing to stop it, the wolf easily destroyed the entire flock.

This is all a liar gains: even when he tells the truth, he is often not believed.
