Prevod

In a spring during Emperor Ling’s reign, a woman in Henei ate her husband, and a man in Henan ate his wife. Husband and wife embody yang and yin; among those who partake of the two cosmic powers, theirs is the deepest bond of affection. Yet here they devoured one another, yin and yang encroaching upon each other. How could such a calamity be confined to the sun and moon? After Emperor Ling died, the realm fell into great disorder. Rulers committed the outrage of arbitrary executions; ministers perpetrated the treason of coercing and murdering their lords. Armies slaughtered one another, blood kin became enemies, and the suffering of the people reached its utmost extreme. Thus these monstrous deeds among humankind appeared beforehand as portents. It is only to be regretted that no one like Xin You or Tu Cheng was there to interpret them and fathom their meaning.
