Knoist in njegovi trije sinovi
Between Werrel and Soest there lived a man named Knoist, who had three sons: one was blind, another was lame, and the third was stark naked. One day they were walking across the fields when they saw a hare. The blind one shot at it, the lame one caught it, and the stark-naked one put it in his pocket. Then they came to a mighty great stretch of water, with three ships upon it: one was leaking, another was sinking, and the third had no bottom. And the ship with no bottom was the one all three climbed into. Then they came to a mighty great forest, and in it stood a mighty great tree; in the tree was a mighty great chapel, and in the chapel were a sexton made of hornbeam and a parson made of boxwood, who were handing out holy water with cudgels.
Blessed is the man who can outrun the holy water.
