Waltey

Prevod

One winter, an old farmer found a snake frozen stiff with cold. Taking pity on it, he picked it up and tucked it into his bosom. But once the snake had warmed up and regained its natural vigor, it bit its benefactor and killed him. As he lay dying, the farmer said, “I deserve what I suffer for having pitied a wicked creature.” The fable shows that the wicked do not change, however great the kindness shown to them.
