Prevod

During the reign of Emperor Yuan, Hao Shang, Inspector of Yanzhou, prohibited the people from maintaining shrines to the soil god that they had established on their own. At the shrine in Tuomao Township, Shanyang, stood a great pagoda tree. Officials felled it, but that night it stood upright again in its former place. The interpretation reads: “Whenever a withered or felled tree rises again, it is a sign that what has been overthrown will flourish anew.” This was an omen foretelling Emperor Shizu’s rise.
