Prevod

Yu Gun, whose courtesy name was Shubao, lived through a great epidemic during the Xianning reign. Two of his elder brothers died, and another elder brother, Pi, was also near death. With the pestilence raging, his parents and younger brothers all left to take shelter elsewhere. Gun alone stayed behind, refusing to leave. When his uncles and elder kinsmen pressed him to go, he said, “It is not in my nature to fear illness.” He tended Pi himself, supporting him with his own hands and going without sleep day and night. In between, he would lay his hands upon his brothers’ coffins and mourn, never neglecting these rites of grief. This continued for more than a hundred days. Only when the epidemic had subsided did the family return. Pi recovered, and Gun too remained unharmed.
