Čudežna riba za mačeho
Wang Yan was deeply devoted to his parents. Once, in the depths of winter, his stepmother, Lady Bu, craved fresh fish and ordered him to find some. When he could find none, she beat him with a staff until he bled. Yan went to the Fen River, struck the ice, and wept. Suddenly, a fish five feet long leaped out onto the ice. Yan took it home and presented it to his stepmother. Lady Bu ate it for days without finishing it. At this, her heart was moved, and she came to cherish Yan as her own son.
