Prevod
A man was preparing a feast to entertain some of his friends and family. His dog invited another dog, saying, “Come, my friend, and dine with me.” The other dog came gladly and stood gazing at the lavish feast, exclaiming in his heart, “Oh, what unexpected joy has come my way! I shall eat my fill and feast so heartily that I shall not feel the least hunger tomorrow.” As the dog said this to himself, wagging his tail in his confidence in his friend, the cook saw him swishing his tail to and fro, seized him by the legs, and promptly flung him out of the window. After landing, he went off yelping loudly. One of the dogs he met along the road asked him, “How was your dinner, my friend?” He replied, “I drank so much and got so thoroughly drunk that I do not even know which way I came out.” The fable shows that we should not trust those who promise to do us favors at someone else’s expense.
