Prevod
In the fourth month of the first year of Tai’an, a man entered through the Yunlong Gate and came before the palace hall. Facing north, he bowed twice and declared, “I shall become Director of the Secretariat.” He was immediately seized and beheaded. The inner palace was an august and secluded place, yet a man of low station had made his way inside without the gate guards noticing. This was an omen that the palace would soon stand empty and that those below would overstep those above. Later, the emperor was moved to Chang’an, and the palace was indeed left deserted.
