Prevod

It is told of Mus‘ab ibn al-Zubayr that he once met ‘Azza in Medina. She was one of the wisest of women, and he said to her, “I have resolved to marry ‘A’isha bint Talha, and I should like you to visit her and examine her figure.” So she went to see her, then returned to Mus‘ab and said, “I saw a face fairer than health itself. She has two large, dark eyes, beneath them an aquiline nose, smooth cheeks, a mouth like a pomegranate, and a neck like a silver ewer. Below that is a bosom with two breasts like pomegranates, and below that a slender belly with a navel like an ivory casket. Her buttocks are like a mound of sand, her thighs full and rounded, and her shins like two pillars of marble. Only I noticed that her foot was large: you will be lost in her when the time comes.” When ‘Azza had described her in these terms, Mus‘ab married her and consummated the marriage. Then dawn overtook Shahrazad, and she fell silent, ceasing her permitted tale.

When it was the three hundred and eighty-seventh night

She said: “It has reached me, O fortunate King, that when ‘Azza described ‘A’isha bint Talha in these terms, Mus‘ab married her and consummated the marriage. Then ‘Azza invited ‘A’isha and the women of Quraysh to her house, and, while Mus‘ab stood there, ‘Azza sang these two verses:

“A maiden’s mouth has a fragrance sweet, delightful in kisses and smiles; I have never tasted it, but fancy it so—and fancy is all the judge has to go by. On the night Mus‘ab first went in to his bride, he did not leave her until he had taken her seven times. A freedwoman of his met him in the morning and said, ‘May I be your ransom! You are perfect in everything, even in this.’ A woman related: ‘I was visiting ‘A’isha bint Talha when her husband came in, and she yearned toward him. He mounted her, and she snorted and grunted, performing the most astonishing movements and extraordinary feats, all within my hearing. When he had left her, I said, “How can you behave like that while I am in your house, considering your honour, your lineage, and your noble birth?” She replied, “A woman offers her husband every enticement and ingenious movement she can devise. What do you find objectionable in that?” I said, “I should prefer such things to be done at night.” She said, “That is how I behave by day; at night I do more still. For when he sees me, his desire stirs and his lust is aroused. He reaches out his hand to me, I yield to him, and what you have seen follows.”’”
