A wolf saw a goat grazing on a cliff. Unable to reach her, he urged her to come down, lest she lose her footing and fall, saying that there were meadows where he stood, and the grass was greener. But she replied, “You are not inviting me to graze; you are looking for a meal yourself.” So too, when wicked people try their tricks on those who see through them, their schemes gain them nothing.
