Besedilo

Trmasti otrok

Once upon a time there was a willful child who would not do as its mother wished. So the good Lord was displeased with it and let it fall ill, and no doctor could help it, and before long it lay on its little deathbed. When it had been lowered into the grave and covered with earth, its little arm suddenly came out again and reached upward. Whenever they tucked it back in and put fresh earth over it, it was no use: the little arm kept coming out again. Then the mother herself had to go to the grave and strike the little arm with a switch, and when she had done so, it drew back into the grave, and only then did the child find rest beneath the earth.
