Prevod
A young man mounted a frenzied horse. The horse bolted and carried him away, and he could no longer dismount while it was galloping. Someone he met asked him, “Where are you going?” “Wherever this fellow pleases,” he replied, pointing to the horse.
So too, if you ask many people, “Where are you being carried?” and they are willing to tell the truth, their answer will be, in general, “Wherever our desires please”; more particularly, wherever pleasure pleases, or at times fame, or again the love of gain. Sometimes anger carries them away, sometimes fear, and sometimes some other such passion.
