Prevod

A man skilled in archery went up a mountain to hunt. All the animals fled at the sight of him, but a lion alone challenged him to fight. The man shot an arrow, struck the lion, and said, “Take this and see what my messenger is like; then I myself will come at you.” Wounded, the lion turned to flee. A fox urged him to stand his ground and not run away, but the lion said, “You will not fool me, fox. If he sends so cruel a messenger, I could never withstand the man himself when he comes.” The fable shows that we should keep well away from those who can do us harm from a distance.
