Jelenji duh v zapuščenem paviljonu

Xie Kun of Chen Commandery resigned his post on grounds of illness and took refuge in Yuzhang. Once, while traveling, he came upon an empty wayside lodge and spent the night there. People had often been killed at this lodge. During the fourth watch of the night, a figure in yellow called to Kun by his courtesy name: “Youyu! Open the door.” Kun remained perfectly calm, showing no fear, and told the visitor to put an arm through the window. When the visitor offered its wrist, Kun seized it and pulled with all his strength. The arm came off, and the figure withdrew. In the morning, Kun examined it and found that it was a deer’s foreleg. He followed the trail of blood and caught the creature. From then on, no uncanny beings troubled the lodge.
