Zeus ordered Hermes to give every craftsman a dose of the potion of falsehood. Hermes ground it in a mortar, measured out equal portions, and poured a dose into each man. But when only the cobbler remained, there was still a great deal of the potion left, so Hermes took the mortar and poured its entire contents into him. And so it came about that all craftsmen tell lies, but cobblers most of all.

This fable is aimed at lying craftsmen.
