In the south there is an insect called “”, also known as the “zhu” or “qingfu.” It resembles a cicada but is slightly larger, and is edible, with a pungent, delicious flavor. It always lays its eggs on leaves of grass; they are the size of silkworm eggs. If you take its eggs, the mother will fly to them, however far away they may be. Even if you take them in secret, she will unfailingly know where they are. Smear eighty-one coins with the mother’s blood and another eighty-one with the blood of her young. Whenever you buy something, spend either the mother’s coins or the young’s coins first, and they will all fly back to you. This cycle continues without end. Thus the arts of the Master of Huainan use this creature to make money return; it is called the “qingfu.”
