In Waltey, all 24 books of Homer’s epic serve as 24 reading units. We have removed the scholarly apparatus and line numbering. Introductions help readers enter the story, while the Slovenian texts are versions intended for reading, translated directly from the Greek source. Each unit is a book of the epic, not a separately recorded folktale.
The file used is the Ancient Greek TEI XML from PerseusDL canonical-greekLit, perseus-grc2. The ancient text is in the public domain, while the repository is published under CC BY-SA 4.0. The source XML and the manifest specifying verse ranges are preserved in the Waltey repository.
