In the nineteenth year of Duke Zhao of Lu, dragons gathered in the Wei Pool outside the Shi Gate of Zheng. Liu Xiang regarded this as a kind of dragon portent. Jing Fang’s Commentary on the Changes says: “When the people’s hearts are uneasy, the uncanny sign is dragons gathering within their city.”
