Sun Jun of Wu had Princess Zhu put to death and buried at Shizigang. When Guiming came to the throne, he wished to have her reburied, but the graves lay so close together that hers could not be distinguished from the rest. Some of the palace women, however, remembered the clothes she had been wearing when she died. Two spirit mediums were therefore stationed in separate places to watch for her spirit and identify her, and were forbidden to approach one another. After a long while, both reported seeing a woman of a little over thirty, her head bound in blue brocade, wearing a lined skirt of purple and white and red silk shoes. She came halfway up Shizigang, pressed her hands against her knees, and heaved a long sigh. After pausing briefly, she went on to a grave and stopped there. She lingered for a long time, then suddenly vanished. Though the two mediums had not consulted one another, their accounts agreed. The grave was opened, and the clothes were just as they had described.
