Prevod

A wasp once settled on a snake’s head and tormented him with repeated stings. The snake, in agony and unable to defend himself against his enemy or drive him away, saw a wagon loaded with wood. In desperation, he thrust his head beneath its wheel, saying, “I shall die along with my enemy.” And so he died together with the wasp.

The fable shows that some would rather die than let their enemies live.
