At a gathering of the animals, a monkey stood up and danced. His performance won great acclaim, and everyone applauded him. A camel, filled with envy, wished to win the same praise. So she too stood up and tried to dance. But her antics were so ungainly that the animals grew angry and drove her out, beating her with clubs.

This fable is fitting for those who, out of envy, compete with their betters and come to grief.
