Prevod

A mouse who lived on land had the misfortune to befriend a frog. The frog, with mischief in mind, tied the mouse’s foot to his own. First they went out into the fields to dine on grain; then, when they approached the edge of a pond, the frog dragged the mouse down into the depths, reveling in the water and crying, “Brekekekex! Koax! Koax!” The wretched mouse drowned, his body swollen with water, and floated on the surface, still tied to the frog’s foot. A kite caught sight of him and snatched him up in its talons. The frog, bound fast, was carried along too, to become the kite’s dinner himself.

Even the dead have the power to avenge themselves; for divine justice watches over all things and holds the scales in balance, giving each their due.
