Qin Zhan lived in the countryside of Penghuang in Qu’e. One day, a snake-like creature suddenly entered his brain. Whenever it came, he first noticed a foul smell; then it slipped in through his nose and coiled inside his head. He felt a roaring in his head and could just hear smacking sounds as it fed within his brain. After several days it would emerge, only to return soon afterward.
